The thesaurus is the newest component of our tools. Thus it may contain few words for which the suggestion does not make sense, However, for some words, the suggested word can be used in one context in place of the other. This may be why the thesaurus suggests the not-so-similar word. Also for some words, the suggestion may actually be the synonym for the word for one of its meanings and you may not know it. For example, if you check a Turkish dictionary, you will see that one of the less known meanings of "baca" is literally "pencere".
