FAQ

Q1. . How do I install these tools?

A1. These tools are created to be licensed by third parties, especially those creating search engines that also index and search Turkish documents. However, since these tools are compatible with Microsoft's indexing service, we provided a simple way of installing these. To install these, copy "mswbtr32.dll" to any directory and at the command prompt, type "regsvr32.exe mswbtr32.dll" to self-register the tools.

Q2. What is Indexing Service.

A2. Indexing Service is a tool available in Windows 2000 and Windows XP for searching of file contents in your documents. Indexing Service first extracts information from files and stores it in "indexes". Indexes allow very fast searching of your documents. You can use Computer Management to configure the Indexing Service. Computer Management is a tool you can access through Control Panel / Administrative Tools. Once you run the Computer Management Console, click on Services and Applications to select the Indexing Service. Once you've configured Indexing Service, the Indexing Service will work in the background to index your files. Once Indexing is done, select Query The Catalog to search the index.
